Hey there.

Welcome to my blog. I'm Lana. Here is where I document my life adventures and lessons I learn along the way. I'm a work in progress. I think too much. I like cold weather, yoga, breakfast, coffee, and adventuring in new places. Let's be friends!

Peace and providence

I've been amazed so far at how God has provided me with connections and people to support me on this journey! Lately, I've been feeling a little hesitant about going, but I'm already committed and I know this is just part of the process. I am the kind of person who doesn't want to make the wrong choice or miss out on something, but I'm realizing I can't miss out because God is in control. I am on a journey and it may not look like everyone else's journey, and that's okay!

I just want to write about a few ways God has blessed and surprised me so far.

The first story starts during my Thanksgiving break in Ohio. One night I went over to my friend McKenzie's house to visit her because she was in town from NYC. She just happened to bring her new roommate Sonali home to Ohio with her. Sonali is an amazing journalist and just happens to be from India! It was so much fun meeting her and making my first connection. It just happens that she will be moving back to India around the same time I will be there. I can't wait to get to know her better in India!

The next story is a crazy connection. My friend in Nashville, Bethany, spent a few months in India during her time in college and she made a friend while she was there. It just happens that her Indian friend works in the exact same office I will be working in!

A few months ago, I went to my friend's surprise party where I met a guy named Alex. Alex is also going to be interning with IJM this summer and we will be at orientation together!

Finally, yesterday while I was visiting my "Nashville family" for Easter, I was blessed with the most amazing, coincidental surprise. The same day I am flying out of the country (if all goes well with my visa application), my sweet Nash fam will be flying into the same airport on their trip home from Europe. We will get to spend a few hours together before I leave (I was going to be alone that whole day)!! I am blown away by the Lord's goodness to me.

While I might be unsure of what I am doing and maybe think I am a little crazy for not taking the "normal, American dream" path in life, I know that the Lord is preparing good things for me. He has already blessed me with friends in India and sweet surprises along the way.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support! If you would like to support me financially, the link to donate is here.

XO, Lana
